Paola Malfatto è nata a Nizza Monferrato e vive ad Asti. Si avvicina alla fotografia agli inizi degli anni 90 durante un viaggio di lavoro in Cina. Attenta osservatrice della vita quotidiana, utilizza la fotografia per una sua ricerca personale, uno strumento per raccontarsi. Legata alla fotografia in bianco e nero, si appassiona a ritrarre manichini che mette in mostra nel 2009 con l’evento STATIC. Nel 2010 la rivista d’arte I-QUALITY pubblica un servizio a lei dedicato di foto della raccolta PIECES. Nel 2011 si classifica , con la foto STADIUM , nei primi 50 (su 5.400) al concorso nazionale di Geo. Nel 2011 mette in mostra alcune foto di particolari di Asti in PUNTI DI VISTA. Nel 2012 vengono selezionate 2 fotografie per le ART BOX della Società Barbero che faranno il giro del mondo. Presente con tre fotografie VESTITI IN PIAZZA in una mostra personale permanente presso il Relais San Maurizio di Santo Stefano Belbo. Nel 2013, invitata al Soundgarden di Asti, esibisce per la prima volta tre fotografie di manichini di dimensioni giganti stampate su un supporto trasparente attraverso il quale traspare il muro di fondo; queste tre fotografie fanno parte di una performance dal nome ILLUSIONI ; Paola utilizza in questa performance specchi deformanti all’interno dei quali la gente specchiandosi forma appunto delle ILLUSIONI che paola fotografa. Sempre nel 2013 espone sei scatti della collezione MANIKIN presso Schloss Hotel Velden in Austria all’interno della clinica estetica diretta dal famoso chirurgo estetico DR. PETER DURNIG FACHARZT. Nel 2013 è stata inviata dalla regione Piemonte ad esporre alla rassegna Photissima presso Ex regia Manifattura Tabacchi dove espone la collezione di foto dal titolo L’INTRUSA. Sempre in fase evolutiva, la fotografia diventa la naturale conseguenza della sua creatività. Le sue foto non sono altro che la sua anima che si affaccia nel quotidiano attraverso i suoi occhi che, come finestre, regalano scorci di emozioni.

Paola Malfatto was born in and lives in Nizza Monferrato Asti. She approached photography in the early 90’s during a business trip in China. Keen observer of everyday life, using the photo for a personal research, a tool to tell. Related to photography in black and white, is passionate about portraying mannequins that showcases in 2009 with the event STATIC.
